The calendar file (.ics) in confirmation emails

Some confirmation emails come with a calendar file (.ics) attached so you can add the event to your calendar without typing anything.

Which emails carry it and what it contains

• It comes with the confirmation of a booking the club made at its front desk, the confirmation of your enrolment in a class and that of a confirmed match.
• The file holds a single event, with its start and end time, the club and court, and a link to your booking, match or class.
• Open it from the email and your calendar app (Apple, Google, Outlook) adds it. If you'd rather add it from the app, see the article on adding to your calendar.
• A booking for several dates made at the front desk carries no file, because a single one would suggest it's only one date. Cancellation emails don't carry one either.
