Guide

Where to play in Los Cabos: areas, climate and open matches

The municipality of Los Cabos is long: Cabo San Lucas at one end, San José del Cabo at the other, the tourist corridor in between and, to the north, the Cabo Pulmo and La Ribera coast. What OpenStreetMap maps there is mostly tennis; the padel and pickleball clubs in the list below are the ones we researched in public sources, each with its source. OSM confirms access at none of them, and many of the unnamed ones may sit inside residential developments or hotels: access is the first thing to confirm.

How to find an open match (reta)

In Los Cabos, club and sports-complex courts are the ones a visitor can use most easily: Cabo Sports Complex and Estadio Mextenis, on the corridor, are a good first place to ask about a game. Courts in residential developments and hotels are usually for residents or guests — check before you go. To lock in an opponent, post the match on MeetAndPlay from the place's listing.

Climate: when to play

Cabo San Lucas has a hot desert climate. August is the hottest month, with a mean daily high of 34.7 °C, and September the wettest (110 mm on average, out of just 265 mm a year). Most of the year it's good playing early or late in the afternoon; from August to September, check the forecast before heading out.
