Delete my account and my data
You can delete your MeetAndPlay account and your personal data whenever you like, from the app or by writing to us. Here we tell you how, what is erased, what we keep and why, and how long it takes.
From the app
Sign in and go to Profile → Account and data (https://app.meetandplay.mx/profile/account). There you can first download a copy of your data and then choose “Delete my account”. When you confirm, your account is closed immediately: all your sessions are ended, your profile stops being visible and you can no longer book or join matches.
Without the app
If you can't or don't want to use the app, write to dmitrii.selikhov@gmail.com from the email address of your account, or give the email or phone number you signed up with, and tell us you want to delete your account. We may ask you to prove your identity, so that we don't delete someone else's account. We reply within 20 business days at most and, if your request is granted, we carry it out within the following 15 business days. It is free of charge. By the same means you can ask for only some of your data to be erased, without deleting the account.
When we ask you to wait
In some cases the app asks you to sort something out before deleting your account, because someone else depends on you: if you have an upcoming match with other players, a payment in progress or a cash deposit the club still owes you, or if you are the only owner of a club or manage a club with payments still to be received. It is not a refusal: as soon as that is sorted out, you can delete your account.
What is deleted
30 days after your request, we permanently delete or anonymise what identifies you: • Your name, your email, your phone number and your photo. • Your profile data, such as bio, gender, date of birth and city. • Your password, your sign-ins with other services and your sessions. • The identifiers we use to send notifications to your devices. • The text of the messages you sent in chats and the photos you uploaded. • Your billing details and your saved cards. • The profiles of minors or dependants you managed. • The customer record that clubs held about you in MeetAndPlay: your name and contact details.
What is kept and why
We keep the record of what happened, tied to an anonymised account that no longer carries your name, your email or your phone number: • Bookings, payments, refunds and invoices: at least 5 years, as Mexican tax and accounting obligations require (article 30 of the Federal Tax Code). An invoice already issued keeps the tax details it was issued with. • Matches played, results and level history: because they are also the other players' history. Your spot shows up as that of a deleted player, without your name. • Late cancellations, no-shows, reports and blocks: to protect the other players and handle claims. • Security and audit records, and the proof of what you accepted and when: kept for as long as the service operates, to investigate abuse and handle claims, and they may include your IP address. What a club keeps on its own outside MeetAndPlay is up to the club, which is responsible for that data.
Timeline
• Immediately: your account is closed and nobody can use it. • For 30 days: we keep your data in case you change your mind. To recover the account, sign in again within that period and cancel the deletion, or write to us. • After 30 days: the deletion is permanent and neither you nor we can recover the account. • If you ask by email: we reply within 20 business days at most. If you believe we did not handle your request, you can go to the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno, Mexico's federal authority for personal data protection.
