Privacy notice
This privacy notice describes what personal data we process, what we use it for, and how you can exercise your rights, under Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP) and its regulations.
Data controller
The controller of your personal data is the legal entity that operates MeetAndPlay, with an address in Cancún, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Full company and address details will be published here before launch.
What data we process
Identification and contact data (name, email, phone or WhatsApp), data about your play (sports, level, matches, results, attendance), approximate location data when you allow it so we can show you nearby courts, and payment data handled by our payment provider. We do not store full card details. If you sign in with Google, Facebook or Apple, that provider shares your name, email address and profile photo (when the provider offers one) with us, plus an account identifier we use to recognise you on future sign-ins.
What we use it for
To create and run your account, put matches together with players at your level, handle bookings and payments with clubs, notify you about your matches, and maintain the reliability record that tracks late cancellations and no-shows. We also use it in aggregate to understand how the service is used and improve it.
Who we share it with
With the club where you're going to play, limited to what your booking needs. With providers that supply us infrastructure, payment, email and messaging services, under contract and only for those purposes. We do not sell your personal data.
Your ARCO rights
You may request access to, rectification, cancellation of, or objection to the processing of your personal data, and you may withdraw your consent or limit its use and disclosure. Write to our privacy address and we will respond within the time limits the law sets.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and browser storage to keep your session and remember your preferences. To measure use of the site we use analytics, and that does not switch on until you accept it: the first time you visit we ask, and until you answer no measurement data is sent. Your answer is kept in a first-party cookie so we do not ask again, and if you decline we measure nothing. Analytics also does not load when it is not configured, as in our test environments.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, we publish the new version on this page with its update date, and we tell you through the contact details you gave us whenever the change is material.
Retention periods
We keep your account data while it is active and for up to 30 days after you delete it. Booking, payment and invoice records are kept for 5 years to meet tax and accounting obligations. Security and audit logs are kept for 12 months. Marketing data is kept until you withdraw your consent. After these periods the data is deleted or anonymised.
