Correcting a match score

Level

If the other team reported a score that isn't the one you played, you don't have to accept it or dispute it: you can propose the right one.

Who can correct it

  • Only a player on the team that has not yet confirmed the score. The team that reported it already stands behind it, so it can't correct it.
  • Your phone must be verified.
  • The Correct the score button shows on the match screen, next to the reported score, while the result is neither confirmed nor disputed.

How it works

  • Open the match and tap Correct the score.
  • Enter the score by sets that was actually played and tap Send correction. It must be a valid score with a winner, and different from the one already reported.
  • The other players in the match get a notification. Your correction counts as confirmed on your side; the team that reported the original score now has to answer.

Only once

A result can be corrected only once. A score that is already a correction can't be corrected again: if you disagree with it, you reject it. That stops the two teams from swapping the score back and forth.

Deadline

You have the same deadline that existed to answer the reported score, counted from when it was reported: the club's automatic-confirmation window if it has one on (between 24 and 168 hours), or 72 hours if not. After that it can no longer be corrected. A result that is already confirmed, disputed or counted toward levels can't be corrected either.

Accept or reject

  • The team that reported the original score sees the corrected score with a note of what had been reported, and chooses Accept correction or Reject correction.
  • If they accept, the score is confirmed by both teams and counts toward levels.
  • If they reject, the result goes to review and nobody gains level until it is resolved.
  • When you correct, that team's time to answer starts over.
