What happens when you're offline
Account
Without internet, MeetAndPlay tells you so and keeps showing the last thing it saved. Actions that need internet wait or ask you to try again.
What you see
- A strip at the top: You're offline. Showing the last thing we saved. Screens with already-saved data stay visible.
- A screen that hasn't been saved on your phone yet shows You're offline and We haven't saved this screen on your phone yet. It loads by itself as soon as you're back online. There's no retry button: the screen loads by itself as soon as the connection returns.
- In a club's court schedule you see You're offline. with how old the times are ("Times from 5 min ago; they may have changed") or, if nothing is saved, We'll show the times when you're back online.
What you can't do
- Booking, paying or saving changes needs internet. Buttons are disabled, like Connect to book, or you see No connection. Try again once you're back online.
- On sign-in and sign-up, the strip says You're offline. You need a connection to continue., because nothing saved can be shown there.
In the phone app
- When you open the app, or come back to it, MeetAndPlay checks the connection. If it can't reach the server, it takes you to a You're offline screen with Try again.
- That screen returns on its own to where you were as soon as it detects internet. If you're still offline, it says Still no connection. Check your Wi-Fi or mobile data and try again.
