7-a-side football pitches in Mexico: where to play

Where are the 7-a-side football (fútbol 7) pitches in Mexico? There is no official census, so this guide counts what is recorded in our directory and ranks it by city and by state. Today the directory records 310 7-a-side football places, and Ciudad de México leads the list with 17.

The figures come from the same calculations the fútbol 7 by-city pages use, so if you open one you will see the same number. They are minimums. If you want the rules, start with our guide to the rules of fútbol 7; and if you want to know what renting costs, we have another guide.

What you need to play 7-a-side football

Seven-a-side football is played seven against seven, with a goalkeeper, on a pitch smaller than the eleven-a-side one. There is no single size: the pitch, the goals and the surface change from place to place, so it pays to ask about the specific pitch.

Many 7-a-side pitches are artificial turf, and some are covered or have lights for night play, but it depends on the place and the directory only shows it where it is recorded. Bring footwear suited to the surface you are told about.

You need a full team, or at least the players to make one, and a ball. The rules, the substitutions and the fouls are in the guide to the rules of fútbol 7, which we link at the end.

How to read these numbers

We count two things separately. A place is a club, sports centre or park with at least one 7-a-side football court; a court is each individual court recorded. Sometimes a place is recorded without anyone knowing how many courts it has, so the courts counted are a minimum and can be fewer than the places. It is not an inventory: it counts what someone has mapped or published.

The data is as of September 25, 2026. It comes from OpenStreetMap, the open map its contributors edit, and from public sources we research place by place, each with its link. They are not clubs verified by MeetAndPlay. We only link cities and states that have at least one place with its own page.

Only with 7-a-side evidence

Only places with explicit evidence of 7-a-side football count here: a page or a source that says so. A football pitch with no further data is not counted, because we do not know its size. That is why the list is short next to all the football pitches in Mexico.

The figures are minimums. Many places appear without anyone knowing how many pitches they have, so the places outnumber the pitches counted. Hours, prices and whether they rent a pitch or only run a league are confirmed directly with the place.

How to use this guide

• Look in your city and the neighbouring ones. Metropolitan areas are split across several directory cities, and the nearest court may be in the next one.
• Compare places and courts. A place with a single court is not the same as a centre with several.
• Call before you go. Hours, prices and availability change, and the directory does not guarantee them.
• If a place is missing, tell us. You can ask for it to be added; we only list what has a source.

How to find courts in your city

Each city and state in the lists links to its 7-a-side football page, with the places, a map and nearby cities. MeetAndPlay is a directory, not a booking service: to reserve an hour you go straight to the place. For 7-a-side football we offer no partner search, levels or open games; we only show where the courts are.

In short

As of September 25, 2026, the cities with the most 7-a-side football places in our directory are Ciudad de México, Morelia, and Chimalhuacán. The figures are minimums and are recalculated whenever the directory is updated. Use them to decide where to start looking, and confirm with the place before you go.
