Editing or skipping the next fee of a whole plan
Payments
For clubs: in Memberships, Edit or skip the next fee changes what the next fee charges for every member of a plan, or skips it. Only that fee changes: the plan price stays and the fee after it is normal again. For a single member use Edit bill on their row.
How it works
- Choose the Plan (the list has the plans that are not archived). Leave Skip the fee (nothing is charged) ticked, or untick it and type the Price of the next bill.
- Write a Private note (required, up to 300 characters). Only club staff see it: it is not on the invoice or in Stripe, and it is kept in the audit log.
- Preview sends nothing: it tells you how many fees will change, how many are left alone and what they charge in total today and after the change. If you change any field, the preview is cleared.
- Apply to the next fee makes the change; the result says how many fees were edited and how many failed.
Good to know
- Members are left alone if they are already at that price, paused, set to cancel, past due, with a price change scheduled or not on a Stripe subscription: the amount is never guessed.
- At most 200 members of the plan are considered, in alphabetical order by name.
- The change is applied as a pending adjustment on each member's subscription. If Stripe fails for one, the rest carry on, and resending the same request does not duplicate the change.
- Only managers with the permission to manage memberships can apply it. To move the billing date, see Changing the billing date of memberships.
