Voiding a sale at the club's till: the rules
Payments
For clubs: voiding a till sale takes the charge off the books. These are the rules for doing it and what is undone along with the sale.
Who can void and when
- With Void on the sale you need the permission to void sales and you must write a reason. It is kept word for word in the audit log, with your name and the time.
- A sale can only be voided within 24 hours of being rung up. For an older one, issue a refund.
- If the sale's shift has already been closed, only the club owner can void it.
What is undone with the sale
- Packs and intro offers: the unused balance is taken back and the intro offer can be sold again. If it has been used, upgraded or shared by link, it can't be voided.
- Classes collected at the till: a one-off collection makes the seat owed again. For a seat sold at the till, first remove the player from the class and then void; a monthly collection can't be voided while the seat is still active.
- A private lesson paid together with its booking: the lesson becomes owed at the front desk again.
- A membership freeze fee: cancel the freeze first if it hasn't started; a freeze that has already started can't be voided.
