How it is calculated
The investment is the number of courts times the construction cost of each one, plus the roof if you choose a covered court. It does not include land or permits, which depend on each location.
Monthly revenue is courts times open hours per day times 30 days times the hourly price times occupancy. Monthly costs add up rent, staff and other costs.
Break-even occupancy is the one that exactly covers your costs. Months to pay back are the investment divided by the monthly profit; if the profit is not positive, the calculator says so instead of inventing a figure.
Sources of the example data
Only two figures come preloaded and both can be edited. Everything else is left blank because we could not find a reliable public source.
- Price per hour: MeetAndPlay pricing study, based on each club's public rates

Frequently asked questions
- How much does it cost to open a padel club in Mexico?
- It depends on the number of courts, whether they are covered, the land and the permits. This calculator adds up what you enter and starts from a public per-court construction range, which you can replace with your own quote.
- What is break-even occupancy?
- It is the percentage of court hours you must sell each month for revenue to equal costs. Below that percentage you lose money; above it, you start paying back the investment.
- Why are some fields blank?
- Rent, staff, other costs, open hours and occupancy vary a lot from one club to another and there is no reliable public source, so we do not put in an invented number. Fill them in with your own data.
