What's your padel level? Take the test in 2 minutesIn this guide
In Cancún, a lot of people play padel once the sun goes down. The midday heat is heavy almost all year, and on weekdays most people leave work after 6 pm. So two time slots are the most wanted: very early, before work, and at night, when the court no longer burns.
This guide collects the hours each padel club in our records for Cancún and Costa Mujeres publishes. Of 11 clubs, 8 have hours on record: 6 stay open until 11 pm or later, 2 until midnight, and 5 open at 6 am. Hours change with the season, public holidays and tournaments, so confirm them with the club before you go.
Opening hours of padel clubs in Cancún
Sorted from the latest closing to the earliest, with the hours as the club publishes them:

- Sportres MX: Monday to Friday 06:00–midnight; Saturday 07:00–21:00; Sunday 07:00–10:30.
- The Court: Monday to Friday 07:00–23:30; Saturday and Sunday 07:00–22:00.

If you want the last slot of the night, the clubs that publish a midnight closing on at least one day are Journey Padel Arena Cancún and Sportres MX. The last slot usually starts 60 or 90 minutes before closing; ask the club when the last booking starts.
Early padel: before work
The clubs that open at 6 am on at least one day are Journey Padel Arena Cancún, Sportres MX, One Padel Cumbres, Padel Sport Huayacán, and Zona 5 Padel Club. At that hour the temperature is the lowest of the day and courts are often free, especially on weekdays. It is the favourite slot for anyone who trains or plays before the office.
Clubs with no hours on record
For Padel Club Cancún, Prime Padel Arena Cancún, and Puerto Cancún Padel we have no published hours. That does not mean they close early: ask them directly about their evening and morning slots.
Why so many people play at night in Cancún
The weather decides. Cancún is hot and humid almost all year, and a court in the sun between 11 am and 4 pm can be very demanding. After sunset the temperature drops a few degrees, the glass stops heating up, and the game is far more enjoyable.
That is why peak time at Cancún clubs generally runs from 7 to 10 pm on weekdays. If you want those hours, book a day or two ahead; if you are flexible, the 10 or 11 pm slots are often freer at the clubs that stay open late.
Tips for playing at night
- Lighting: a club that opens at night plays under floodlights, but we have no record of their type or quality. If it is your first time at a club, ask for a central court or which one has the best light; lobs look different under floodlights.
- Humidity: it is cooler at night, but the humidity rises. The glass and the ball can get slippery and sweat does not evaporate the same way. Bring a towel, a spare overgrip and more water than you think you need.
- Mosquitoes: in the rainy season, repellent in your bag is a good idea, especially on open courts near green areas or the lagoon.
- Getting home: if you play the last slot, sort out your transport first. Many clubs are on main avenues with parking; ask whether the club has it and until when.
- Rain: summer storms usually come in the afternoon, but also at night. A covered or indoor court is the safe choice; our guide to covered padel courts in Cancún shows which clubs have them.
Weekends
Weekend hours are usually shorter than weekday hours. Several clubs open later on Saturday and Sunday, and some close mid-afternoon on Sunday. Check each club's band in the list above before planning a Sunday-night match.
Saturday morning, on the other hand, is one of the liveliest times: it is when many clubs run americanas and retas. If you want to meet people, that is a good slot.
How to set up a match at the hour you want
A court at 10 pm is not much use without people to play with. On MeetAndPlay you can see open matches in Cancún with their time and level, join one or post your own. Take the padel level test first so the match is even.
And if you want to know when matches open near you at your hour, turn on your city's WhatsApp alert at the end of this page.
